We’re thrilled to introduce a brand‑new experience for this year’s Summit: Summit Challenges — interactive, self‑paced activities designed to help you learn something new, meet fellow attendees, and get even more out of your week in Bellevue.

What Are Summit Challenges?

Summit Challenges are hosted by community members selected through the CFP process, just like traditional sessions. The difference is in the format:

  • They’re hands‑on, self‑paced activities you can work on throughout the week
  • They’re designed to spark collaboration, curiosity, and conversation
  • They offer a fun, low‑pressure way to explore new ideas and skills

Whether you’re diving into a technical puzzle, exploring a new tool, or teaming up with others to solve a problem, each challenge gives you a fresh way to engage with the community.

How to Find the Challenges

All Summit Challenges live in Slack. Just search for channels beginning with summitchallenge2026- to discover what’s available and jump in.

Why Participate?

Summit has always been about more than sessions. Some of the most memorable moments come from the people you meet — the hallway conversations, the shared discoveries, the friendships that last long after the event ends.

Summit Challenges are built to amplify that experience.

They give you a new way to:

  • Connect with other attendees
  • Learn from mentors — and become one yourself
  • Share insights, ask questions, and collaborate
  • Have fun while building real skills

You might start a challenge needing help, and by the end of the week, you’ll be the one helping someone else. That’s the magic of this community.

When Can You Work on Them?

Anytime that fits your schedule:

  • Throughout the week
  • In the evenings
  • Over meals with others working on the same challenge
  • During a session slot where nothing catches your eye (rare, but it happens)

Summit Challenges are flexible by design — jump in when you want, step away when you need, and return whenever inspiration strikes.
